Cochise College Peer Mentor Application
TRiO SSS and Cochise College are conducting a peer mentoring project this year to help students have a successful first year experience following a year of interrupted learning due to COVID-19.
While peer mentoring provides valuable support for students at critical points in their student life, it also offers a host of other benefits for both mentor and mentee. Peer mentoring is a mutual way of learning and allows both participants to develop transferable skills that will help them during their time at college and beyond.
Peer mentors support students with organization, accessing college resources, and receiving academic guidance as needed. In addition, peer mentors support students as they navigate the college’s social network and build college skills. This peer mentoring program is meant to be a support system for students.
