Grand Western Archery Society (GWAS) wishes to encourage and promote the development of coaching within the Region. The society therefore provides financial support, in the form of coaching grants, to any GWAS member who has successfully completed a coaching course and fulfils the below criteria.
Please contact coaching@gwas.org.uk for any questions or queries.
Policy
Coaching grants from GWAS can only be considered once support has been shown by the candidate’s club / county.
Evidence of course costs and a course completion certificate must be uploaded as part of this application.
GWAS will normally contribute on a matching basis to club / county to a limit of £125 (L1 and L2).
The support from GWAS will not bring the combined support level beyond the initial cost of the course.
For child protection courses, the maximum course fee that will be covered is £30. This is to be included in the maximum limit of £125.
There is a limit of two candidates per club per course type (L1 and L2) per year.
GWAS will not cover travel and subsistence costs.
The approval of grants for County Coach courses will be at the discretion of the RCO and GWAS Treasurer.
