OPEN TO ALL 4TH GRADERS!

WE GENERALLY MEET WEDNESDAYS AFTER SCHOOL FROM 3:15 – 4:30 PM STARTING AUGUST 23!

WE WILL PERFORM IN BROADWAY BOUND, THE ELEMENTARY THEATRE SHOWCASE IN FEBRUARY, THE KELLER SHAKE COMPETITION IN OCTOBER, CINDERELLA  KIDS IN FEBRUARY, AND A SHAKESPEAREAN PLAY IN THE SPRING!

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD AUGUST 20 OR 21 FROM 3:15 – 4:30 PM.

Rehearsals start promptly at 3:15 PM.  Students are highly encouraged to arrive between 3:10 and 3:15 PM in order to put backpacks, coats, etc. away, use the restroom, get some water, and get ready for our class.  Any student who enters rehearsal after 3:15 PM will be considered tardy.  On-time attendance at rehearsals is mandatory.   If your child must be tardy or absent from rehearsal for a valid reason (e.g. sick, doctor appointment, etc.), please email me within 24 hours of the tardy/absence.  If I do not receive notification by the next school day, it will be considered an unexcused tardy /absence.  If your child has 2 unexcused tardies/absences in either semester, he/she will be dismissed from the Theatre Troupe. We learn a lot in a short amount of time and that’s why attendance from everyone is so crucial to make this group a success!

Fees & Supplies
There are no start – up fees for the Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe.  However, as we near production dates, students will be expected to supply portions of costumes and accessories.  These come in the form of purchased items or a flat fee for rentals for a production.

Uniform
Members of the Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe may be asked to wear Ridgeview Elementary T-Shirts and slacks for school performances. Specific costume suggestions for the KISD Elementary Theatre Showcase, Keller Shake Competition, CINDERELLA Kids, and the Shakespearean Play in the Spring, 2020 will be given at a later date.  

Discipline Policy
All Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe members are expected to behave appropriately at school and in rehearsals.  (e.g., listening to all teachers, good role models, willing to work hard, positive attitude, following directions the first time given, etc.)  

In the event this does not happen, the following procedures will take place:
1. Parent(s) will be notified in writing of any behavior problems.
2. If behavior persists, student will sit out of one rehearsal of the Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe.
3. If behavior during rehearsal or outside of rehearsal does not improve, student will be removed from the Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe.

The Ridgeview Players Theatre Troupe will communicate through:

Due to supervision issues, I cannot allow younger siblings to attend rehearsals while waiting on an older sibling to finish rehearsal.
