Documentary Songwriting is a unique, step-by-step method of co-writing music that fosters empathy and strengthens community. Our intensive training program gives you the tools you need to implement the DocSong Method in your own work and creative projects. We're excited about your interest in the program! DocSong is committed to making the Teacher Artist Training available to anyone who is interested in the program.

To support that goal, we offer multiple tuition options. Please select the option that best fits you. (If your organization will be paying for tuition, please consider the Supporter or Full Price option.)

Supporter ($1800). This rate allows you to make more sliding scale seats available for folks who cannot afford to attend. (Please consider this rate if you can comfortably meet all your basic needs, have money in savings, own or rent a home that you can afford, have expendable income to spend on meals or entertainment, or you can afford occasional vacations.)

Full Price ($1300). This rate covers all costs associated with your attendance but does not provide support for others to attend. (Please consider this rate if you are able to meet your basic needs despite some debt, have some savings, own or rent a home that you struggle to afford, have some expendable income.)

Sliding Scale (pay what you can). This rate is for those for whom paying full price would be a financial hardship. (Please consider this rate if you are sometimes or often stressed about meeting your basic needs, if you have little to no money in savings, if you are unemployed or underemployed, and cannot afford to take time off.) If you select the Sliding Scale option, we will follow-up individually.

Returning Teacher Artists ($500). This rate is for individuals who have already completed the Teacher Artist Training, and would like to return to refresh their skills and connect with other musicians.)
