Consentimiento informado *
Whenever a research project is conducted at the University of Valladolid (Spain), the Research Ethics Board requires all researchers to obtain written and clear consent from their participants. This does not mean that the research project involves any risk or discomfort to the participants. The written consent simply confirms that the participants take part in the experiment willingly and voluntarily.

The experiment for which you have volunteered is part of a research project on bilingual acquisition. It is carried out by the research team UVALAL from the University of Valladolid (Spain) directed by Raquel Fernández Fuertes.

During this session, you will be asked about your preferences on a group of structures in Spanish. Our aim is not to evaluate your proficiency in Spanish but rather to find out what lies behind your intuitions as a speaker. No specialized knowledge is required to participate in this experiment. This test involves no risk or deception.

You will not receive any remuneration, but your participation will allow you to become familiar with a research technique which is presently used in experimental psychology, linguistics, and psycholinguistics.

All the information you share will remain strictly confidential. Your name will not be revealed to anyone and you will never be identified by your test results. The information treatment will follow the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the corresponding national and European legislation.

The personal data will be collected in an electronic form database and, according to the current legislation, they will be registered in the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The data will be codified and processed for statistical purposes. You will have the right to request personal data access, modification, opposition, rectification, or withdrawal whenever you demand it. If this is the case, you will have to contact the principal investigator. The data will be stored by the principal investigator of the study, Raquel Fernández Fuertes. You are entitled to contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency if you are not satisfied with your data processing.

The data will be kept indefinitely and the principal investigator and the research group will be allowed to use them in potential research studies related with the line of work previously described. The data can be transferred to other researchers appointed by the Principal Investigator, following the same line of work under high quality research projects and respecting ethical principles. In this case, approval from the CEIm (Ethics Committee for Investigation with medicinal products) East Valladolid Health Area will be requested.

You participate in this test by your own choice and voluntarily. You can withdraw from the research experiment at any time without consequence.

Finally, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this experiment. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact Raquel Fernández Fuertes (raquelff@lia.uva.es). All questions regarding your rights as a participant in a research experiment can be addressed to Óscar Martínez Sacristán (vicerrector.investigacion@uva.es), vice-rector of research and scientific policy of the University of Valladolid.
