"Historical Geology for the 21st Century" OER text: table of contents webinar
Welcome! We are a group of geoscience educators at community colleges in Virginia. We have received a grant to write an OER textbook for Historical Geology in summer and fall 2019. OER means "open educational resource," which is a buzzphrase that means a free, open-access textbook. We seek your input as geoscience educators who teach some aspect of Historical Geology about what this book should include, and how it should be organized to be most useful to you, your institution, and your students. We will hold a set of two webinars to discuss content and format of the proposed book, on May 22 and May 23, and we hope you can join us for one of those. (We will email connection details to those who say "yes" to attending.) Even if you cannot make those times, we seek your input via the questions below. Thanks in advance for giving this some of your precious attention. We sincerely appreciate your thoughts.
