Bill George and Patricia Bolinger Mission Fund Grant Application
The Bill George and Patricia Bolinger Mission Fund of the Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Baptist Fellowship provides small grants to churches seeking to engaging in new mission endeavors.
Inaugurated in 2017, this fund is named in honor of two long-time-serving members of the Coordinating Council of MACBF and is intended to further the call of individual churches as they seek to be the presence of Christ in their communities and beyond. The offering will be received throughout the year though some churches may choose to designate a specific season to collect the offering.
Grants are based on three criteria:
1. Active participation with MACBF (both financially and engagement in our communal presence).
2. Mission focus and desire to share the Gospel in a new way.
3. Need of the congregation and financial buy-in of the congregation.
Applications may be submitted anytime and will be considered every two months, with the amount granted no larger than $1,000. Upon receipt of application, the Mission Team will review the application for recommendation. Applications recommended by the Mission Team will then be considered by the Coordinating Council and they will determine who will receive a grant. Those who receive grant funds must use the funds within six months after receipt.
Each year, the Coordinating Council will consider the amount of funds available, making sure there remains no less than $3,000 in the fund at all times.
The grant recipient will submit a report to the Mission Team after the mission endeavor has commenced to include a brief description and pictures (within two months after usage of grant funds).
Grant recipients may apply for another grant three years after the receipt of the initial grant.
