The Hamilton College Summer Program in Philosophy is a laboratory for innovation in undergraduate philosophy instruction. Twenty students will take three concurrent courses chosen for their promising new pedagogies. The courses are not intended primarily as preparatory for graduate study, though some of our students intend to and do go on to philosophy graduate schools. For more information about the program and our goals, please visit
https://academics.hamilton.edu/philosophysummerschool.
If you wish to be considered for admission to the HCSPiP, please complete this application by March 11, 2024. Please also have one letter of recommendation and your undergraduate transcript (an unofficial copy is fine) sent by the deadline to
hcspip@hamilton.edu.
The letter of recommendation should speak in concrete detail to the student’s motivation to study philosophy and their ability to work in a collaborative philosophical environment.
