My name is Meerabelle and I’m a recent Penn graduate working on an oral history project to document lesbian spaces and networks in the 1970s and ’80s in Philadelphia. When We Go Out focuses aims to record the stories of spaces, groups, and people that make up Philadelphia’s lesbian/Sapphic history—from Dyketactics in the 1970s to softball and Sisterspace up to the '90s and beyond. To this end, I'm recording life history interviews which can also be an opportunity for people to record their memories and, if they wish, have them archived at William Way (or an archive of their choice, if feasible). The final product that I am creating will be an online record, either a blog or podcast, which I'm aiming to put up at the end of 2020.
