Our current back to school safety plan adopted by the Board on 6/3/21 states that RSU 2 will follow CDC and DOE recommendations.  The Board will review the current information and what that means on August 12 in terms of specific safety protocols announced for the start of school.  We would like to capture your perspective in this survey.

Currently there is a US CDC ORDER requiring all people on public transportation to wear masks. This includes school busses and vans.  Is your child  able to comply with this recommendation if you are unable to transport your child to/from school yourself? *
Currently the US CDC, the ME CDC, and the Me Academy of Pediatrics recommend masks for all people in PreK-12 public schools.  Are you and your child able to comply with this recommendation? *
Do you support an RSU 2 plan to follow this recommendation by requiring masks in RSU 2 schools for all people as we start the 21-22 school year? *
If you do not support a masks requirement  inside our schools, please explain why.
Currently the US CDC, ME CDC, and the Me Academy of Pediatrics recommend pool testing PreK-12 public schools, to detect active cases early and minimize the time students spend out of school due to quarantine.  RSU 2 did not receive enough positive commitment from families in June to pursue pool testing at that time.  In the pool test, the student uses a q-tip swab in a way that is similar to nose picking.                                   If we sent a new form home about this, would you consent to pool testing at school? *
If you would not participate in pool testing, please explain why.
