The Schrödinger Sessions: Quantum Information Meets Science Communication
In celebration of 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the American Physical Society (APS) Innovation Fund is supporting projects that enhance public engagement, broaden participation, and improve education in quantum science. The Schrödinger Sessions workshop, a 2.5-day crash course in quantum science sponsored by APS, will be hosted by the Joint Quantum Institute on campus at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD July 31-Aug. 2, 2025.

We invite applications from science communicators of all stripes -- science writers, podcasters, visual artists and content creators -- who are interested in learning more about quantum science and technology. The workshop will feature presentations from scientists and professional science communicators, as well as networking opportunities and tours of working laboratories. Support for travel and accommodations will be available for US-based participants.

Applications are due April 28, 2025. The selection process will focus on identifying candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in quantum physics and a passion for science communication.
