UMaine ESports
With fast paced action, immersive gameplay and the need for critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, strategy and communication, it is clear why eSports events rival not only the production quality, but also the viewership and cultural impact of traditional sporting events such as the Super Bowl.

The University of Maine is looking to compete amongst the collegiate best, when it comes to eSports. With your help, we can make that happen! We are hoping our co-ed teams can be comprised of students across a variety of majors, backgrounds and class years.

Games we are hoping to start teams for include: Overwatch, League of Legends, Fortnite, Rocket League, Madden, FIFA, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Hearthstone, AND MORE!

Members of the team will work together in weekly practices, games, and team meetings. Students may represent the University in online and in-person events.

There are several leadership opportunities available for students including student assistants, game commentators and broadcasters and team captains.

Students interested in participating in UMaine eSports should complete this General Interest form.
