Too often, parents/guardians want to see "worksheets" or "papers" coming home to know that their child is learning. How can understanding the link between developmental areas and activities help you address this issue? *

By being able to tell parents/guardians the numerous areas children develop during free play, you can help them better understand its value.

By being able to show parents/guardians the picture codes in the Gee Whiz lesson plans, you can give them concrete evidence of all the areas of development their children are addressing each day.

By knowing all the areas of development you are addressing during each experience, you will be much more confident in refuting the idea that learning only takes place on a piece of paper.
