NPC Playgroup Preregistration - Summer 2021
Dear Families,

Welcome to our Summer Playgroups: weekly with Northampton Parents Center / Northampton/Hadley Family Connection and once a month with Hadley Public Library, for families with young children, birth to kindergarten age! Please read the following and then continue below to register. We look forward to seeing you indoors and or outdoors!

Playgroups in July and August are on Wednesdays, 9 to 10:30 am, at Bridge Street School, except third Wednesdays (7/21 and 8/18) when they are at Hadley Public Library. Playgroups at Bridge Street School have both an indoor preschool classroom and an outdoor playground option. The story times and closing circle time will be outdoors, weather permitting. Hadley Public Library playgroups will be all indoors in the new space. All of our programs are free of charge. Donations are always welcome.

*UPDATED!* COVID19 Pandemic Health and Safety Guidelines for Summer 2021:

All Programs: Masks are not required for children under 2 years old. Parents/caregivers are responsible for the children in your care at all times. Please stay home if anyone in family are sick.
Outdoor Programs: Masks are recommended for vaccinated people and all children 2 and up.
We ask that unvaccinated adults please wear masks.
Indoor Programs: We ask that everyone age 2 and up wear masks indoors.

NPC aims to offer safe, healthy outdoor programming for all of our families with young children. We have consulted with our pediatrician for the above guidelines. Thank you for your support and cooperation with our COVID-19 public health and safety guidelines.

If these guidelines become challenging for you or your family, please reach out to the Playgroup Facilitator for support and suggestions.

We appreciate your assistance with supporting our community’s well being. We will do our best to offer the wonderfully welcoming, fun, and connected programming that we always strive for!

For warmer weather playgroups, you are welcome to bring a blanket for you and your family to use during Story Time and Circle Time. In cold weather, we have play time and then a moving circle time. We will have extra blankets and also extra masks on hand for those who need them. We will also supply hand sanitizer. Bathrooms are available at both locations. Due to the pandemic, we are unable to provide snacks at this time, but you are welcome to bring your own to eat outdoors. Thank you!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Thank you,
Swansea Benham Bleicher (she/her)

All of our programs are free for all families thanks to a grant from the MA Department of Early Education and Care administered by Northampton Public Schools. You are welcome to come for free! We really mean it! This grant pays for only 25% of NPC's program expenses and so we welcome donations. Here is the QR code if you would like to make a donation or the link if that is easier for you: http://www.northamptonparentscenter.org/donate/
