VRIC Nikkah Service Request

In order for us to make your Nikkah request possible, you must first fill out the form below. We only perform nikkahs along with the civil ceremonies.  

After you submit your request for a specific date, you will be asked to pay a deposit. The deposit amount is dependent upon the number of attendees. Once the deposit is paid your requested date will be reserved. All required items must be submitted/confirmed no later than two weeks prior to the event. If items are not received by the deadline, VRIC reserves the right to give your reserved date to another requestor. Please note, the availability of your requested date depends on officiant availability. Fridays are unavailable for nikkah ceremonies, please plan accordingly.

*Requirements*

  • Nikkahs at VRIC are only performed for local community members, so you must live within Irving, Coppell, Lewisville, or Farmers Branch

  • Submit your deposit, any additional donation is up to your discretion

*Documents that must be submitted two weeks prior to event*

  • Copy of the marriage license

  • Copy of both parties driver's license

  • Filled out Nikkah Contract (supplied by VRIC)

*Reservations & Cancellations*

  • All reservation requests must be made no later than two weeks prior to the proposed date of use 

  • Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability 

  • Cancellation requests must be emailed to nye@vric.org at least one week prior the ceremony 

  • The Officiant that will perform your ceremony will be confirmed two weeks prior to your event

  • Once the date has been confirmed by VRIC and our Officiant, you will receive an email with confirmation details

  • If a VRIC officiant is unavailable on the requested date, an approved external officiant from a local DFW masjid will be assigned by VRIC. External officiants are not subject to suggestion by the nikkah party.  In this case, the nikkah party is responsible for paying an honorarium of $250 to VRIC for the external officiant. This is in addition to the nikkah deposit mentioned above.
