Back in 2021, we had our first BRICKSABER run which we opened to the general public. It was the first time we offered a LEGO-inspired lightsaber and the response was overwhelming. From then, we have gotten feedback on the product, specifically on the experience of playing with the saber, and we have been working on developing the next version of the BRICKSABER from those feedback.
We have made major improvements to this version. These are the 3 key things that makes this new iteration better:
1.) Size - the OG version was HUGE, both in size and weight. And eventhough it was weirdly "to scale" on an adult hand, it was hard to play with, especially for kids (and kid-sized adults). We have made it roughly 30% smaller and 40% lighter (851g vs. 509g hilt only), making it nicer to hold and safer to swing!
2.) User Experience - there were a lot of changes made here but here are the major ones. First, we made the buttons light up, and made the second button actually have a function (the OG second button was a dummy). Second, it's now much easier to switch colors and change fonts from the saber. Third, and most important improvement, is that you can connect the new BRICKSABER to your mobile phone via bluetooth! You can actually control all of the functions of your saber using an app!
3.) Price - with all this improvement and development, the icing on the cake is that this will be MORE AFFORDABLE than the OG version! How cool is that?
The OG run we had back then had an SRP of Php13,500. Now, it has become more affordable for everyone to purchase at an SRP of PHP11,500.
