2023 NLLL All Star Manager & Coach Application
All Stars is unlike any other Little League experience – a competitive, post-season Little League tournament experience for North Lake Little League’s age 8 to 14 year-old softball and baseball players who aspire to compete with the best in Little Leagues across the district, state and nation.

With a goal to compete, win and advance, players and coaches are deeply dedicated to one another, their individual and team development and competing day in and day out.

Managers and coaches are core to the experience players have with our All Star program and we appreciate your interest in joining our All Star coaching slate. Please complete and submit the application below before April 5th to be considered. 

You must be a rostered regular season Manager or Assistant Coach to be eligible for consideration.

Please note that submitting this application does not mean that you are guaranteed a Manager or Coach position on one of the teams, it will put you into consideration for the All Star coaching slate, which is selected and approved by the North Lake Little League Board.

Conditions of Participation as Manager or Coach in All Stars program:

North Lake Little League is proud to compete in the Little League All Star Tournament program. The All Star rosters are comprised of the eligible players that competed during league play at the Minors, Majors, and Junior levels.  Players are nominated by managers a of the regular season teams in each division from the pool of candidates who submit Player Commitment forms.

The All Star experience is a tremendous honor for the players and coaches and represents a meaningful experience as well as time commitment for the players and coaches selected to the teams.

In order to be eligible and considered as a Manager or Coach of an All Star team, this form must be submitted by April 5, 2023.

To be considered for a Manager or Coach position for an All Star Team you must agree to the following conditions:
Eligibility to serve as an All Star Manager or Coach *
My eligibility to serve as an All Star Manager or Coach is contingent upon, and can only take place after, the selection of my son(s), daughter(s) or dependent(s) to an All Star team, per the Player Selection Process administered by the league All Star Coordinator and President.  Selection of a player into the All Star program is not to be influenced or impacted by the possible participation of that player’s parent as an All Star coach or manager, or vice-versa.  INITIAL BELOW
Manager and Coaches Role in Team Selection
Managers and coaches will be officially named to teams following the Player Selection Process. All regular season coaches from Minors, Majors and Juniors programs are expected to participate in the Player Selection Process to ensure a fair and equitable consideration of players. All Star managers will NOT, at their sole discretion, build the All Star team roster. INITIAL BELOW
All Star Manager and Coach Selection *
The selection of the All Star Managers and Coaches is the decision of the members of the North Lake Little League Board of Directors and the All Star Committee thereof.  Managers and Coaches are selected from the pool of completed applications based on relevant baseball or softball knowledge and experience, organizational skills and demonstrated sportsmanship.   I acknowledge that those attributes, not the win-loss record of the teams that I previously or currently manage or coach, will determine selection of All Star Managers and Coaches   INITIAL BELOW
Time Commitment *
Beginning with the selection and posting of the All Star teams on or after May 15, 2022, I will be available for daily practices, prep tournaments and team events for 2 to 6 hours each day until the completion of the team’s last game, whether that be in the District, State, Regional, or International tournament.  I understand that it is expected that I will have no scheduled vacations, out of town travel, or any other commitments that will interfere with my attendance at practices and games. North Lake Little League Purpose Statement for Prospective Coaches
If selected, I promise to lead my team and represent North Lake Little League in a manner that exemplifies the highest level of sportsmanship expected of all North Lake coaches.  

Purpose Statement from North Lake Little League (NLLL) for Prospective Coaches:

All Coaches are held in high regard for their willingness to volunteer their time and demonstrate their appreciation of the philosophy and values of Little League Baseball.

Managers/Head Coaches:  Each Manager/Head Coach is selected by the President and Coaches Coordinator and approved by the Board.  

The Manager/Head Coach has total responsibility for their team and the overall welfare of all the player-oriented activities in NLLL.  

Managers are required to always display good sportsmanship in their dealings with parents; other managers and coaches; umpires; and members of the Board.

All Managers and Coaches will place their emphasis on teaching the skills of baseball and sportsmanship to all players, regardless of talent.

The Board of North Lake Little League reserves the right to enact disciplinary action, including dismissal, of coaches who:
• Violate Rules of Play (as stated in the Official Little League rule book and/or the NLLL Supplemental Rules and/or;
• Fail to uphold the standards of sportsmanship and decorum expected of coach volunteers as described above and as judged by the Board, or committees thereof.
