December Schedule Adjustment
At the staff forums on Friday and at the parent forum on November 17, 2020 an adjustment to the December schedule was proposed. If you have not reviewed this presentation please view it here (begins at 53:48): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIhe_nUu2R0

To clarify, any remote days that need to be balanced between cohort A and cohort B will be adjusted to ensure an equitable number of days in remote and in person.

Based upon parent feedback the administration will be recommending the following changes to the December calendar:

Original calendar:

Staff professional development day on 12/11
Elementary Half Days for conferences 12/16, 12/17, and 12/18
Early release for K-12 on 12/23 leading into the winter break

Revised calendar proposal:

Three full weeks of school from 11/30-12/18 (elementary schools would still have 1/2 day Wednesdays)
12/21 and 12/22 would be remote learning 1/2 days for elementary (elementary conferences in the afternoon)
12/21 and 12/22 would be remote learning full days for grades 6-12
12/23 would be a full day off for students leading into the winter break (the morning would now be professional development for staff)

Please answer the questions below to provide additional feedback to inform our discussion at our upcoming School Committee meeting.

Thank you,

Patrick
