We have BARGAINING SESSIONS for negotiating our first contract with Western scheduled throughout the entirety of Winter Quarter. Our bargaining sessions are OPEN to every Educational Student Employee (something we WON at our first session), and if you want to come, you are warmly invited and encouraged to attend!!!
As we head into Spring Quarter, we will be working towards making moves to WIN our contract. This will hopefully be the LAST quarter of bargaining sessions, with negotiations finishing in time to implement our contract by Fall Quarter 2024.
WE NEED TO KEEP SHOWING WESTERN THAT STUDENT EMPLOYEES ARE ENGAGED IN THIS PROCESS!!
What: Bargaining Sessions where the Bargaining Committee we will be presenting our priorities as student workers to Admin and deferring to the values expressed in our
Initial Bargaining Demands (which will be our framework throughout contract negotiation process)
When: Mondays from 11am -5 pm (WAWU members meeting before hand to prepare at 10:30)
Where: The Solarium (Old Main 590)
There will be an organizer sitting in a room outside of the room the whole time who will help introduce you to the bargaining norms!! If you are interested in coming, it will be SUPER helpful to know who is planning to come and when you are planning to be there for.
