Speech Perception and TMS Study
This study aims to examine the relationship between certain brain areas and speech perception. The experiment consists of a 15-min MRI session and a 2-hour stimulation session. Each session will be held on a different day, but schedules can be flexible. In the MRI session, you will need to lay on a bed and stay still inside MR scanner for 5 min. In the 2-hour stimulation session,  you will listen to sounds of certain words and identify what syllables you heard. You are not eligible to participate if you have a family history of seizures or are taking psychoactive medication.

We will pay $80 for your participation. Prior to beginning the experiment, we will verify that we can record lip muscle activity. In some people this is not possible, and we will have to terminate the experiment, in which case
you will be given $20.

Filling out this form will help us determine if you are eligible to participate in the study.
