Designed for home educated students ages 5-7, this is a chance for students to experience preparing a short play: getting to say some lines, learning about expression, learning some short songs, and getting to perform for a small audience at the end of the week. This will be a fun and light-hearted environment, giving these young students a chance to become a character or two without the intimidation of stage, lights, and a huge audience. We will meet at Gloria Deo Theatre, an outdoor venue (the Phillips’ home) and will plan on spending as much time outdoors as we can. In the case of rain or extreme heat, indoor space will be available.

We’ll meet together each day of this week-long workshop, June 3-7, 2024 from 9:30-1pm. Snacks will be provided midway though. We’ll plan on ending the workshop at 1pm, but if your child would like to bring a bag lunch and enjoy a picnic with their friends, they’re more than welcome to do this! Pick-up will be at 1:30pm sharp.

The week will conclude with a performance by the young actors in front of family and friends at 12pm on June 7th. Families are invited to bring chairs or a blanket along with a picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawn. Dessert will be provided.
