Students vs Pandemics (SvP) is a national organization, founded at Harvard, that works to build community and empower students to make a positive impact on health and overall wellness during times of crisis. Our primary goals are to improve transparency and communication, build community, identify needs, and innovate solutions. SvP shares health education material, resources for students, and opportunities to serve our greater community through our resources spreadsheet and Instagram. Some SvP chapters have also been writing policy memos for state legislators, organizing virtual COVID hackathons, addressing digital disparity, and launching other initiatives.
The SvP chapter at UCSD currently has 5 initiatives: Service, Vulnerable Populations, Public Health, Outreach, and Voting. Every general member is welcome to join the initiative(s) of their choice to help with various projects throughout the quarter and school year. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, go ahead and fill out the recruitment form below!
