What Our "Grandmothers" Can Teach Us: Learning from the Stories of Black Women in Alexandria's History
Saturday May 21 at 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM in the Secret Garden at The Rectory on Princess Street

Join other Westminster women for an in-person mini retreat in the garden at The Rectory in Old Town to hear stories of the African and African-American women, both enslaved and free, who helped shape Alexandria’s history. Discover what we can learn about our community from the lives of women we may not be so familiar with.  We will meet outside in the garden for our program including a speaker from Manumission Tours, lunch, worship, discussion, and fellowship. In case of rain, we’ll move into the Rectory’s Atrium.

Cost is $20. Pay by check or online (with note "Women's Retreat"): https://wpc-alex.org/giving/
