Gifted Identification Testing Referral Form - fall 2023 and spring 2024
The first step of referring a student in regard to the gifted identification process is to complete the Gifted Identification Testing Referral Form by October 1, 2023 at 4pm EST for fall assessing, and by February 1, 2024 at 4pm EST for spring assessing.  Any student currently enrolled with Strongsville City Schools may be referred by a parent/legal guardian, teacher, student, themself, or administrator for this referral testing for gifted identification.

Fall Testing Window: October 2023
Spring Testing Window: February 2024
Areas tested: Cognitive abilities, mathematics, and/or reading, and/or creative thinking

After receiving this completed Testing Referral Form, the Office of Curriculum will be in contact during the fall or spring testing window to schedule the student's test date and time, which will be administered by either the Gifted Intervention Specialist, Gifted Coordinator, or other qualified personnel during the school day.

Strongsville City Schools provides gifted services to students identified as gifted math and/or overall superior cognitive students with applicable math score in grades 3-5. In Ohio, once a student is identified as gifted, this identification remains throughout their schooling career without a need for retesting.

Results will be shared and discussed with the parent/family within 30 days of scoring and norming of the assessment.
