MVEP (Grade K-5) Application for 2024-2025
If you're new to our school, welcome!
If you're returning--we're glad you'll be coming back!

RETURNING students AND siblings of returning students are given priority in enrollment IF this application is returned by February 29, 2024. Please fill out this form once for EACH STUDENT you want to enroll in MVEP for the 2024-2025 school year. This does not serve as your District #51 registration, which you will need to fill out in July.

MVEP is not a traditional school. If you are not familiar with our model, please review information about MVEP on the School Overview tab (https://mesavalleycommunityschool.org/school-overview), and then continue with this application.

During the 23.24 school year, we piloted adding 6th grade to MVEP. Going forward, the decision has been made to discontinue that option. All 6th grade students will be enrolled in the MVCS portion of our school as full-time students or part-time students with two classes.  Either option has classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are enrolling a 6th grade student, use the application form for MVCS (Grade 6-12) instead.

MVCS is a public charter school, serving students with disabilities and English Learners and provides services to students as required by state and federal law. Charter schools are subject to all federal and state laws and constitutional provisions prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, ancestry, need for special education services, and certain other grounds. Laws applicable to students with disabilities include the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). MVCS enrollment is open to all students eligible to enroll in a public school in Mesa County, Colorado.

Students who are enrolled at MVCS should plan to remain enrolled with our school for the entire school year. Switching schools mid-year causes educational disruption. If a student chooses to return to another District school during the year, the District may grant or withhold consent depending on such factors as the capacity of the receiving school and the best interests of the student.
