CHAPEL HILL STR ACTION TEAM
If you're an STR host or manager, an STR support service provider like a cleaner or handyman, a local business that benefits from additional tourists, a real estate agent, or anyone else who supports STRs, you're in the right place!

Between now and the Chapel Hill Town Council's final vote on a potential STR ordinance in a few months, council members and other key decision-makers need to regularly hear from all of those who support and rely on STRs in our community.

Reminder: the Council has expressly told town staff NOT to enforce the current ordinance, so there is no penalty for speaking up - and we need everyone to do so now before it's too late.

To make this easy, the CHSTRA will be coordinating efforts among all of those who want to speak up but don't have time to engage every week. Sign up below to be added to our Action Team, where you'll be assigned a quick task every few weeks. These may be things like "Email Council Member John Smith a brief message about how STRs help you afford to live in Chapel Hill" or "Share a testimonial about how STR guests support your local business," depending on what you sign up to do below.

When it's your turn, we'll send out a reminder and a brief request for something you can do, along with suggestions for specific talking points and anything else we can provide to support you. With all of us working together, a little coordinated effort from each of us can go a long way toward a fair ordinance that protects our property rights and allows responsible hosts to be an asset to Chapel Hill.

Thank you! We look forward to teaming up with you.
