POSITIVE AUTISTIC CULTURE AND JOY
Very little research is done on positive autistic culture and joy, in fact, thus far I have located only two studies:  One that conflates Autistic joy with faith in God (this research was reported in a medical peer reviewed journal!) and another was focused only on sensory experiences of children.

This feels incredibly sad to me. I experience joy in a multiplicity of ways, it was not until after my diagnosis that I made space to recognise my own authentic 'joy' as it was not 'typical' or normative.

This survey aims to gain a better picture of the ways Autistic people experience joy. So much research on us departs from a place of our failings- this aims to start from a place of joy!
