Call for Proposals - Information Science and Technology in Action (NEASIS&T Annual Conference)
The Northeast Chapter of the Association for Information Science & Technology (NEASIS&T), together with the Simmons University Student Chapter, invite you to join us (virtually!) at our 2023 Annual Conference on Friday, March 3, 2023. The theme for this year's conference is "Information Science and Technology in Action."
This event looks at how information is used and applied in theory and practice across different sectors and industries. Practitioners, students, researchers in all library and information science/technology fields are encouraged to submit a proposal.

For our call for proposals, examples of areas of practice include but are not limited to:

  • Information Behavior

  • Information Use

  • Information Technology

  • Data Science

  • Usability

  • Knowledge Management

  • Information Research

  • Information Retrieval

  • Electronic Resource Management

  • Data Privacy

  • Alternative Data

  • Informatics

  • Information Access

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality

  • Blockchain

  • Digital Libraries

We are accepting proposals for presentations, panels, workshops and posters related to our conference theme. We welcome proposals from students, faculty, practitioners, and any other role in the information sciences, libraries, archives, and other related sectors. Priority will be given to proposals from presenters in the Northeast region (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ).

Proposed topics can be in any format: panel, presentation, 7-10 minute lightning talk/poster, hands-on workshop, etc.

Deadline for submission: January 16, 2023
