"Called to make space for people to grow in the love of God"
Friends United Meeting is pleased to announce the appointment of Nikki Holland to the position of Director of Belize Friends Ministries. Nikki is a member of the New Association of Friends. She currently resides in Merida, Mexico where she shepherds a newly-planted Friends Church. Prior to coming to Friends, Nikki served with Wycliffe Bible Translators and holds a Certificate in Applied Linguistics, as well as a BA in English and a BA in Music. In addition to church planting in Mexico, she works in a variety of freelance communications and writing roles, has developed a domestic violence ministry, and is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Earlham School of Religion. She says of herself: “I am called to a ministry of spiritual hospitality. I am called to make space for people to rest and grow in the love of God.”
As FUM’s Director in Belize, Nikki will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of FUM’s expanding ministry in that country, including the Friends School, the Friends Church and the Friends Center. She will work with the dedicated staff team including Candi Young, School Principal, and Oscar Mmbali, Pastoral Minister, to witness to God’s transforming power on the Southside of Belize City.
Nikki and her family plan to relocate to Belize by the beginning of August 2019; however, they need to raise pledges of support equal to 100% of their ministry budget. Thank you for joining the Holland family's support team!
