In the modern, technologically developed societies of the 21th century, stress might be the biggest “disease”. Stress does not only affect our health, well-being and motivation, but also has an impact on the workplaces and therefore on the effective work, in a more and more traceable way. Understanding and coping with stress, developing individual and labour market adaptability are in the common interest of both the employees and the employers.

This survey was created within the project GINOP-5.3.5-18-2019-00112, “Stress-free workplaces in the ICT sector” and its goal is to explore the most relevant stress factors of workplaces in the ICT sector and work out solutions for them to improve workplace conditions.
Telecommunications Trade Union (“Távszak”) and Fontanus Foundation are partners in consortium implementing the project.

The 4 Dimension Stress Map  was created at FONTANUS to identify the general and specific stress factors, for both the employer and the employee.

The survey takes into account what type of objectively measurable stimuli the employees receive at work - which are called WORKPLACE OBJECTIVE stress factors - and also how  they react to them, thus forming another type, called WORKPLACE SUBJECTIVE stress factors. In the case of the stimuli experienced outside the workplace, INDIVIDUAL/OUTSIDE WORKPLACE OBJECTIVE and INDIVIDUAL/OUTSIDE WORKPLACE SUBJECTIVE stress factors are also measured.

The survey looks at the effects of the stimuli - that the employees experience - from different angles, so we can have a great understanding of the stress factors the employees may have. The results and achievements of the survey will be available on the homepage of the project, in the forth quarter of 2020.

With the cooperation of TÁVSZAK, there is an opportunity to spread and do the survey extensively, which allows you also to contribute to us improving the stress circumstances at work in the ICT sector.
