The BRAVE Conference will call attention to Lab’s mission of ‘honoring diversity’ by delving into cultural and ethnic topics and providing a safe place for open discussion. Race and ethnicity are immutable distinctions, but they don't have to be divisors. Through forthright discussion and unification, we can progress towards building support systems for each other and simultaneously ameliorate social and emotional disparities within our community. Below are details about the conference and applying to attend:

Selection Process:
The BRAVE conference is a student-led conference, and has been growing in capacity since it's start in 2018. Frequently, we have more applicants than space. Applicants will be selected by a combination of timeliness (first to apply) and interest (reason for attending). We anticipate sending the list of accepted students by March 26, 2024.
Note for Middle School Students:
- If accepted, you will attend classes as normal on April 5, then be excused at 9:15 to the Assembly Hall
- If accepted, you NEED to complete the Pre-Arranged Absence Form to participate
Note for High School Students:
- For all 9-11th graders BRAVE Conference counts as a school field trip and NOT as an absence
- For all 12th graders BRAVE Conference counts as 1 of the 5 absences allowed before May Project
- HS Students DO NOT need to complete the Pre-Arranged Absence Form
