Thank you for your interest in #GirlLikeMe: Twitter Dichotomies in Black and Brown Girlhood, Identity, and Mental Health! The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of social media use on identity development, mental health, and self-esteem for Black and Brown adolescent girls.
We have set up this study using mixed methods (focus groups, interviews, and a digital ethnography) to see how you experience school, home, extra curricular activities and your mental health while enjoying the ever-changing digital life through social media.
We are interested in your specific experiences related to your identities and look forward to working with you in this longitudinal study, which is a study that follows the same person over a period of time.
We ask you to fill out this short google form to determine your eligibility for this project. Your responses will ONLY be used to contact you further about your participation in the study if you are eligible.
If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
