Please complete this form if you are interested in auditioning for the 2022/2023 En Avant Youth Ballet Company. Note that the En Avant season runs from August 2022 - February 2023 and ALL choreography will be set over the summer. During the season, dancers will have required technique ballet classes and will be required to attend some ballet Master classes.

Audition Fee: $20 per dancer
Upon submitting this form, your account will be charged $20 (for current MDM students).
Fees must be paid in full in order to audition.
All outstanding balances must be paid in full in order to audition.
For new or non-MDM students, fees can be paid in person on the date of the audition.

Are you auditioning in person or via video? REGARDING GROUP DANCES: For the upcoming season, we are planning to potentially cast several group dances. These dances would perform/compete at the following: 1) En Avant Showcase/Fall Ballet 2) NUVO-Tulsa or another convention in the Fall or Winter, 3) possiblyYAGP in the Spring, and 4) possible participation in other local dance competitions. Are you interested in participating in a group dance for En Avant (costs will be similar to costs of Company numbers and will vary depending on choreographer, number of competition/convention entries, etc.) *

REGARDING A YAGP SOLO: Is your dancer interested competing at YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix) with a Classical and/or a Contemporary Solo? Please note that by checking this box, you are not guaranteed to receive a solo. Casting is at the discretion of our faculty, but we are interested in knowing whether this is a financial and time commitment you are interested in making. This option should be IN ADDITION TO the group dance preference you selected above. Check all that apply. For planning purposes, the cost to participate in 1 solo approximates $750 - $1,500. Dancers with YAGP solos may also be allowed to compete one or both of them at the local dance competitions with our Competition Company (these would be added entry fee costs). *

Most of the En Avant choreography will be set over the summer and in the month of August. Do you have any planned Summer Intensives or Family Vacations in which you will be out of town this summer? Please list them below to assist us with scheduling.

MDM dancers must have all accounts up to date in order to audition.Dancers must audition in person unless they are ill, quarantined, or at a required family and/or school event.

Dancers should wear a black leotard, pink tights and hair in a traditional ballet bun to the audition.

Dancers should arrive 10 - 15 minutes early in order to check in at the front desk and get an audition number.

Casting is at the full discretion of the MDM faculty and is done in a manner that primarily takes the success and confidence of the dancer into consideration.

Dancers who wish to audition should plan to keep the month of August as free as possible for setting choreography.

Communication regarding placement on the En Avant Youth Ballet Company will be made within 2 weeks of the audition. Casting information will be released in June.
