First Unitarian General Assembly 2023, "Faithfully Becoming" Delegate Application
We welcome any current member of the congregation to apply to represent us at the UUA General Assembly which will be held in Pittsburgh, PA from June 21-25, 2023. You may attend in person OR virtually! You must be a member in good standing and 16 or older to apply. If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact Garnett Losak (garnett@fuub.org).

Delegates to the 2023 General Assembly will be voting on changes to Article 2 of the UUA by-laws on behalf of First Unitarian.  Therefore, you must be prepared to attend UUA led on-line mini-assemblies regarding this issue in May, 2023, as well as lead at least one, and possibly more, discussion groups for members and friends of First Unitarian.

Before completing this application, please review the  UUA's General Assembly web page at www.uua.org/ga, and our congregation's FAQs at https://bit.ly/GA_FAQs. You may also watch this short video about GA created by the Unitarian Universalist Association https://vimeo.com/769166914.

For youth...
Youth are encouraged to apply! First talk to Meagan Henry, our Director of Education and Family Ministry (meagan@fuub.org). You must also check with your school and parents to make sure you can work around your end-of-school schedule. Attending GA is a transformative experience! Once you've been green-lighted by Meagan and your parents, go ahead and complete this application.

If you are not selected as a delegate, you may still attend the conference in person or online. First Unitarian is a force because of everyone involved. Bring your gifts to workshops, learn, and make friends. Attendees who are not delegates are not required to attend the General Sessions (also known as Plenary Sessions).

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT THIS APPLICATION IS MONDAY, February 13, 2023  -- THANK YOU!
If you do not receive email confirmation of receipt of your application within 48 hours of submitting, please contact Cara Haft (cara.haft@gmail.com).

Yours in faith,
First U's Leadership Development Committee
