New Hope Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. There are three primary areas in that New Hope Baptist Church will strive to fulfill the Great Commission. First, the members of New Hope Baptist Church will strive to make disciples by evangelizing the lost. Second, the members of New Hope Baptist Church will strive to make disciples by disciplining other members of the church. This will happen in several ways. First, discipleship will happen through members serving in the discipleship programs of the church, such as the worship service, age-graded small-group classes, and other church programs that intend to facilitate discipleship growth. Second, discipleship will happen in members’ homes through family worship, family devotionals, spouses encouraging discipleship growth, and parents modeling discipleship for their children. Third, discipleship will happen through mentorship where one disciple who is more mature than another disciple engages in a mentor-type relationship and teaches the less mature disciple how to grow, in a more personal way, in his or her discipleship. The third area of the Great Commission is mission. There are several ways that the members of New Hope Baptist Church will engage in the area of missions. First, they will support missions through prayer. Second, members will support the mission by giving to the church’s mission efforts. Third, they will support missions by going on different mission trip opportunities that the church provides. This survey will help determine the church’s current level of understanding of and engagement in the Great Commission.
