Wetland Connections: 2022 - 2023 School Year
Wetland Connections is a year-long program that connects 6-12th grade students to the bay through nature journaling and data collection with mini-campus wetlands, a series of STEM classroom workshops, and a spring field experience at a local wetland on Galveston Bay.

The deadline to submit an application is August 22nd.

 Wetland Connections is valued at $3,500 per school, however due to generous donors, we are able to reduce the cost to you. The base cost for this program is $1000. If you have the ability to pay more, we would greatly appreciate it but do not expect it.

The $1000 base cost includes: 
- Teacher introductory virtual workshop
- Student introductory video
- 1 Wetland Introduction Workshop day
- 4 Mini Campus Wetland Habitats & Water Quality Kit
- 1 Bay Animals or Engineering Shorelines Workshop day
- 1 Environmental Leadership Workshop day 
- 1 Spring Field Trip (for up to 50 students) 
- Wetland Connections curriculum
- Support from GBF staff
- Opportunity to host a booth at GBF's Bay Day

If your classes are larger and you need additional dates, pricing is as follows:
- additional workshop days:$50 
- additional field trips day: $300 each.

All participants will be required to complete a pre and post survey for Wetland Connections. These surveys help us assess the program and be able to provide scholarships each year. *

All teachers participating in the program are required to attend a virtual training to go over program details and learn tips and tricks on how to implement the program in their class. This training will be on September 1st at 7-8pm.  More information will be emailed to you. *
