Black Lives Matter at School Curriculum Fair Call for Workshop Proposals
Teaching for Change's D.C. Area Educators for Social Justice is organizing a virtual Black Lives Matter at School Curriculum Fair on Saturday, January 22 from 12:00PM-2:30PM ET (9:00AM-11:30AM PT), cohosted by Howard University School of Education. We are seeking proposals for workshops that speak to the Black Lives Matter at School Year of Purpose, centering the 13 Guiding Principles and national demands. Learn more at https://www.dcareaeducators4socialjustice.org/black-lives-matter-week-action. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until Monday, December 26.

We invite proposals from educators that focus on a diverse range of topics. Relevant presentations are welcomed, as are curricular ideas, classroom strategies, theoretical frameworks that lead to praxis, presentations on community work, and other ideas for inspiring practice.

Workshop sessions will be 45 mins and held via Zoom. We will provide Zoom links for the presenters.

Please contact Vanessa Williams at vwilliams@teachingforchange.org with any questions or concerns.
