ASABE Journals & Publishing Survey
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your feedback will help ASABE headquarters, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC), Community Editors (CE), and Associate Editors (AE) in further improving the journals. Individual responses will be confidentially reviewed by the EIC. Compiled results from this survey will be shared at a special session on "Publishing in ASABE Journals and Navigating the Publication Process" at the ASABE Annual International Meeting (AIM) on Wednesday, July 10th from 10:15 AM - 12:15 PM. We will also share results through ASABE publications and news.

The requirement to use a journal template is a hindrance to publishing in ASABE journals.
ASABE journals should require submission of highlights (short bulleted points on key aspects of the article).
ASABE journals should require the submission of a graphical abstract with articles.
ASABE journals should allow the submission of supplemental materials (videos, data files, code)
ASABE journals should move entirely to open access with a flat fee per article (e.g., $1500 to $2000).
Transactions of the ASABE needs to be renamed to better reflect the refereed scientific and engineering research being published by society members.
Transactions of the ASABE and Applied Engineering in Agriculture should be merged into one journal with Applied articles as "case study" articles.
New ASABE journals should be created corresponding to each community (EOPD, ES, MS, NRES, PRES, etc.).
