APPLICATION DEADLINE: Sunday April 28th

REGISTRATION FEE: $200  (Registration Fee will be collected when participant is accepted into the program.)

This application must be completed by Youth Leader participants and not by parents/guardians.

The Youth Leader program is designed for teens to develop leadership and communication skills while serving as positive role models for young campers.  Participants in the Youth Leader Program must sign up for the program willingly and have a desire to learn from camp staff. 
 
Youth Leaders will select desired weeks below. Please note that shifts for Youth Leaders will vary by camp and will range from 4 hours to 5.5 hours per day depending on the camp. Please select weeks that will best accommodate you and your needs while volunteering at camps. Refunds will not be issued for weeks that you cancel after schedules have been made. 

We ask that Youth Leaders work a minimum of 2 weeks while participating in the program. If Youth Leaders are not meeting expectations, they will be asked to not return for future weeks. If there is a desire to volunteer more than 2 weeks, it will be based on performance and camp availability.

WEEKLY CAMP SELECTION FOR YOUTH LEADERS ENTERING 8TH GRADE AND ABOVE
Youth Leader shifts for these camps are between 4-5.5 hours per day and campers are age 3-6.
Each camp is listed below with dates and hours. Please select the appropriate camp for your age and select 2-4 weeks you are available to work. Placement at camps is dependent on camp enrollment. 
If camp is canceled due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to place you at another camp. If another camp option is not available, you will be provided with a refund for that week.
CAMP CHI-DA-CA ACORNS-- Youth Leader hours are 8:30a-1:00p   Camp Chi-Da-Ca is run solely outdoors and shifts are 4.5 hours per day. Camp is run at Hooker Oak Park. (Please check all boxes you are available or interested to work) Youth Leaders are scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 depending on availability and camp enrollment.
TODDLER CAMPS w Ms. Dallas (camper age range is from 3-5)- Hours 8:45am - 12:30 pm: drop off can be anytime between 8:30am - 8:45am. Youth leaders should be interested in working with younger children and have interest in running activities for toddler aged campers! Camp is run at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center, 775 East 16th St. If interested in working TODDLER CAMPS we ask that you are available for 3 weeks of this program.
SHORTE SPORTS CAMP (camper age range is from 3-7)-Hours: 8:00a-12:15p: drop off can be anytime between 8-8:15 am. Youth Leaders must have knowledge and experience of sports camps they are volunteering for (Minimum of 2 years of playing experience in a particular sport) .  Camp is run at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center, 775 East 16th St.

WEEKLY CAMP SELECTION FOR YOUTH LEADERS ENTERING 9TH GRADE AND ABOVE
Youth Leader Shifts are between 4-6 hours per day. Please select a camp that best fits your needs and your desired hours for each week.
Each camp is listed below with dates and hours. Please select the appropriate camp for your age and select 2-4 weeks you are available to work. Placement at camps is dependent on camp enrollment. 
If camp is canceled due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to place you at another camp. If another camp option is not available, you will be provided with a refund for that week.
CAMP CHI-DA-CA OAKS-Hours: 8:30a-2:30p  Camp Chi-Da-Ca is run solely outdoors and shifts are 6 hours per day. Camp is run at Hooker Oak Park. (Please check all boxes you are available or interested to work) Youth Leaders are scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 depending on availability and camp enrollment.
SUMMERTIME DELIGHT -- Hours: 9:00a-3:00p  Summertime Delight is a traditional day camp that will include daily pool swim time and various field trips. Camp is run at the Pleasant Valley Rec Center. (Please check all boxes you are available or interested to work) Youth Leaders are scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 depending on availability and camp enrollment.
SPORTS CAMP (campers are grades 2nd-6th) Hours: 8:30a-12:15p: drop off can be anytime between 8:00a-8:30a.  Youth Leaders must have knowledge and experience of sports camps they are volunteering for. (4+ years recommended) Camp is run at the Community Park Field House. 
(Please check all boxes you are available or interested to work) If interested in working SPORTS CAMP we ask that you are available for at least 3 weeks of this program.
CAMP CHICO CREEK--Hours: 8:30a-2:30p. Camp Chico Creek is run primarily outdoors at the Chico Creek Nature Center. (Please check all boxes you are available or interested to work) Youth Leaders are scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 depending on availability and camp enrollment.

You have selected an appropriate date and time for your interview and made note of the date and time (ALL Youth Leaders will interview unless contacted by program coordinator). 

Communication for this program should be between Program Coordinator and Youth Leader-NOT PARENT/GUARDIANS. This is a work training program and it is expected that communication comes directly from participants.
