ABOUT THE PRF CAMPOUT
The Campout is a 3-day festival that takes place at Pretty Lake Camp in Mattawan, MI. It's also a social gathering, nature adventure, and a fundraiser for the camp and its mission: "Pretty Lake provides life-changing experiences through free summer camp and experiential learning." (
Learn more here.)
The Campout is a family-friendly event and open to all ages. Pretty Lake has a no-substance policy (no alcohol, smoking/vaping, or any drugs are allowed on the camp grounds). We also have a strict COVID vaccination requirement, please see
our policies for details.
Accepted groups will have a 25-minute time slot to perform. Backline equipment and a PA are provided. Because of the charitable aim of the Campout, musicians are expected to purchase a ticket, which covers lodging, freshly prepared meals, and camp activities such as archery, swimming, a rock climbing wall, etc. (We aim to have an inclusive environment; please contact us if you have financial concerns about your participation.)
Priority is given to groups who haven't performed at the PRF Campout previously. Brand new groups are welcome to give their first live performance here! We welcome all genres in all iterations -- past Campouts have included genres such as: rock, singer-songwriters, pop, drone, experimental, folk, jazz, country, hardcore, sad songs, yelling dudes, non-dudes yelling, saxophones, etc.
If you have questions that aren't answered in this section or in the form below, please email us at prfcampout@gmail.com. (We are an entirely volunteer-run event, so thanks for your patience and kindness!)
