Medical Information

The medical information provided in the separate medical form will used by the Leaders in charge to assess whether specific activities are suitable for our members and so that they have a point of reference should an accident
take place. Medical information is kept confidential and is only disclosed on a need-to-know basis.

This relates to information about medical conditions, both physiological and psychological, that your
child has been diagnosed with.

We are not professional trained on how to deal with certain medical and behavioral conditions,
therefore depending on the severity of the child's condition, we may ask for parents / your LSA to be
present at meetings and activities.

Data Protection

This section of the Membership Form ensures that our Scout Group complies with existing legislation
regarding the use and retention of personal data.

i. Contact details such as address and telephone number
ii. Progress Records – information relating to the training given by the Scout Association of Malta and attained by the member.

Photos and Videos are an essential part of the operation of our Scout Group since they are a visual
record of the activities which we undertake. These materials are kept for archive and communication
purposes on our website (www.sliemascouts.net), our official Facebook page and Instagram profile
using @SliemaScouts and used internally in logbooks. We sometimes choose some photos to be
published for newspaper/magazine articles. In all cases, the photos and videos kept and published
are carefully screened to ensure that they are suitable.

Photographs (digital and printed) may be held in albums, logbooks, frames and library at the
Headquarters and may also be used in the media or on the Group's or Association's websites and
social media. It is important to note that all information given in this Membership Form will not be
divulged to third parties outside the Scout Association of Malta. In the case of photographs and
video, it is our policy that:

i. Members will always be shown wearing decent attire and found in a reputable pose.
ii. Members' full name will not be divulged.
iii. That no personal contact details will be published.
