Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Omaha ForUs LGBTQ+ Center! We rely on volunteers to help us deliver on our commitments to better the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals and their families in the Omaha metro, and we could not do it without YOU. Some volunteers make time daily, weekly, or monthly, while others only will volunteer a few times a year, or for a special event.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved, meet new people, and give back to the LGBTQ+ community. Due to the sensitive nature of some programs and services, there is a process to apply and be accepted as a Center volunteer. The process takes on average 2-4 weeks.

Omaha ForUs is committed to providing the highest quality service to our community and stakeholders. While we respect the right to privacy of all members of our community, we have a responsibility to provide the safest space possible for our youth, families, seniors, disabled, and other vulnerable members of our community. To that end, regular daily, weekly, and monthly volunteers are required to undergo comprehensive background checks. NOTE: A previous conviction, incarceration, and/or criminal charges DO NOT necessarily prevent volunteering with Omaha ForUs.
