Explorer Post 911 is a program run by the Greenwich Emergency Medical Service(GEMS) designed for high school students ages 14 to 18 who are interested in delving into the world emergency medicine. Members have the opportunity to become certified as an EMS provider and practice medicine in real-life emergencies.

Through weekly meetings, The Post focuses on each of the six core principles: Community, Education, Peer-Mentoring, Service, Experience, and Leadership; in efforts to grow a more confident and adept person in society and in the medical field. These meetings consist of informative lectures and practical skills learning such as trauma, medical, and first aid, that are essential to performing lifesaving procedures.

The Post also hosts many events outside of the club venue where members can not only put their skills to the test but can create lasting friendships. This program’s mission is to empower each member to achieve their goals in a fun and structured peer environment.
