The sunflower growing contest is back and better than ever! The contest is open to any K-2nd grader to participate in. You do not need to be in 4-H to participate. Registration closes on May 10th.

Planting Day: Saturday, May 18th at the Vernon County Fairgrounds

Get your seeds and start them! All seeds, soil, and starter pots have been generously donated this year. Drop in any time from 10 until noon to get your seeds started.

Final Show Scheduled For:

Wednesday 6:00 PM, Sept 11th @ Vernon County Fair. Participation instructions for the show will be given out to families at the planting day. Even if your youth is not able to successfully grow their sunflower due to whatever circumstance--we will be giving away participation certificates and goodie bags.
