RSVP to attend June 27th Mobility Program: Public Transit, Development, and the Private Sector: How Can We Help Each Other?
California has a mandate and needs to build two million new housing units. This projected rapid growth and our recent national and international crises have put tremendous pressure on public transit. But in regard to both equity and quality of life, this housing mandate has a key transit component: both housing and transit must be available and affordable to everyone. These challenges are more interconnected than ever before. How do we link transit needs to grow, and how do we link infrastructure investment to development? What does the private sector need from the government to help make this happen? How do we get the public on board with this? What must the public ask of the private sector? Where are the successes, and what should our models be? Let’s talk about what works.
