Global RDA Awareness of EOSC Survey

As a global cross-disciplinary community, RDA members are being called to action to help complete a short survey aimed at understanding global awareness of a European initiative called the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). An eco-system co-created and funded by a series of projects and initiatives from EU Member States and Associated Countries, the EOSC Portal offers access to the European data space for science, research and innovation. Through the EOSC Catalogue and Marketplace the research community now has direct access to services and resources for Open Science which are available across most disciplines, with access not limited to European researchers.

The purpose of this survey is to:

  • Assess the awareness of EOSC in the larger, global Open Science landscape
  • Identify existing and potential community pathways and good practices from the global perspective, in order to develop engagement mechanisms for EOSC, resulting in a report and practical support materials
  • Identify respondents willing to participate in follow-up activities.

The survey consists of 11 brief questions and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would like to participate in a focus group that will help to produce an assessment of the value EOSC contributes to disciplinary engagement in Open Science.

The survey will be open until February 24th, 2023.

This survey is being undertaken by the Digital Repository of Ireland on behalf of the RDA Association (RDA Europe office) for EOSC Future, a European funded initiative. RDA plays a role to widen EOSC awareness and engagement among disciplinary communities.
