After you read each book, please designate a score of 0 to 10, based on the scoring criteria listed below. You may use decimal points to score any book which, in your opinion, falls in mid-range (example: 2.5, 6.3, 8.4 etc.).  No book may receive a score lower than 0 or higher than 10 points. Please use the scale below:

  0 NOT A ROMANCE This book is NOT A ROMANCE and not appropriate for this contest.
  1 A WALL-BANGER I hated it. It took a lot of effort to finish reading it.
  2 UNSATISFYING It contained major problems that totally ruined my enjoyment.
  3 SO-SO Overall, it was not very well-written although there were a few good
 things about it.
  4 FAIR It was not a bad book, but it was not memorable.
  5 GOOD A nice, satisfying read.
  6 GREAT I liked it well enough to recommend it to friends.
  7 SUPERB I liked it well enough to buy and read more books by this author.
  8 A PAGE TURNER I could not put this book down.
  9 A KEEPER I loved it. This one will go on my keeper shelf to read again
and again.
10 THE BEST Possibly one of the single best books I’ve ever read.

Each book is to be rated on its own merit. Do not compare the books to each other.

It is acceptable for several books to be given the same score.
