GENERAL:
Driving to school is a PRIVILEGE given to students on a priority basis:
1. Seniors who are in an approved school-to-work program.
2. Seniors who only commute to school.
3. Juniors who are in an approved school-to-work program.
4. Sophomores/freshmen are not to drive to school unless special circumstances are approved by the High School Principal.

PRIVELEGES may be revoked for:
a) Reckless Driving
b) Failure to park in the designated parking area
c) Excess tardiness to school (tardiness to school is defined as arrival to school any time after the beginning of the students first class)
d) Failure to obey the directive of a member of the school staff given the responsibility to monitor the parking lot
e) Violations of other school rules

SPECIFIC:
1. All student vehicles must be registered each school year.  Failure to do so may result in loss of driving privileges and having vehicle towed (at owner's expense).
2. STUDENT VEHICLES MUST BE PARKED IN DESIGNATED SPACES IN THE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT.  THERE IS NO STUDENT PARKING IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL PARKING LOT.
3. Drivers must observe rules of common sense, safety, speed (speed limit of 15 mph), and parking regulations.  All New York State Vehicle Laws must be observed.  The school crossing guard is a member of the Caledonia Police Department.  Their directions are to be followed.
4. Students are not to go to their vehicles during the day.
5. There is to be no loitering in the parking lot.
6. The school is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles.  Vehicles should be locked.
7. Smoking/vaping/drinking alcohol in the vehicle on school property is not permitted.
8. Any violations of the above regulations may result in suspension of driving privileges, suspension from school, and/or having the vehicle towed (at owner's expense).
9.  Per Board of Education Policy, the school has the authority to perform searches on vehicles that are parked on campus.
