We made it to the end of the semester! Go Rhody!
We will be open Tuesday, May 7 and Friday, May 10 for ALL students. You are welcome to come to the Outpost UP TO 3 TIMES each month.
We have LOTS of fresh produce from our campus greenhouses this week: green leaf lettuce, baby bok choy (very limited), Swiss chard, rainbow chard, kale, spinach, arugula, and more!
Any student, grad or undergrad, may request a delivery from St. Peter's Community Market on Fridays only:
The form opens on Tuesdays at noon; they only take a limited number of pre-orders. If you have transportation to go directly to the church, please consider doing that. The nice folks there love to meet our students! This saves more slots for our students who do not have a car.
Note: you MUST have filled out a Rhody Outpost Intake Form with me before being approved to get deliveries from St. Peter's.

***PARKING ALERT: PLEASE DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT BEHIND THE WAREHOUSE. THIS BLOCKS TRUCKS COMING IN AND OUT. PARK IN ANY AVAILABLE SPOT IN THE DESIGNATED SPACES NEAR THE CENTRAL RECEIVING BUILDING.
*** SMALL CHILD ALERT! Your children are so welcome at the Outpost - we love seeing them! Please keep an eye on them in the warehouse and the parking lot. The trucks coming in and out are a hazard. And as much as your kids might love to climb the shelves in the warehouse (as kids do!), we do not want anyone to get hurt!
We are introducing a new screening tool for the Rhody Outpost to better help us assess food insecurity among our students.
Rhody Outpost Intake Form Please make sure you complete this if you have not already done so! If you have already completed it, thank you! (You only need to complete it once.)
We welcome all URI students experiencing food insecurity. Students may visit two times per month during the semester and every week on break.
We ask the following:
1. Please register ahead of time.
2. Please respect the quantity limits posted for each item so that we may have enough to go around. Please take the absolute minimum you need.
3. The Outpost is not able to provide food for your parents, roommates, or siblings. (Note: if your friend/roommate is also signed up but not able to come in person, you are welcome to pick up food for them.)
4. Please bring your own bags if you are able!
5. We reserve the right to limit quantities and ask you to take less.
