Interns NW: Recommendation Form (First-Year Students)
Offered through the Northwest Children's Theater, Interns NW is a unique, year-round, intensive program in theater arts. Selected young people ages fifteen to nineteen will gain hands-on experience in a variety of theatrical disciplines while working with NWCT staff and guest artists. Internships combine advanced instruction with experience both onstage and backstage allowing young people to explore a range of theater arts in a focused, professional atmosphere. Interns are selected by audition, written application, recommendation, and interview. The program directors are Andrés Alcalá and Roger Monroe. There is no program fee for Interns NW.

A desire to learn, self-discipline, reliability, and sensitivity to others contribute to a student’s successful experience. Please keep these qualities in mind as you respond to the following questions. Your honesty and frankness is appreciated. If you have additional comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to send an email to production@nwcts.org. Thank you.

Please keep in mind: The Interns NW schedule is at times very demanding and can be incredibly stressful. Although students grow considerably in the program, this specific, rigorous program is likely not the best fit for young people struggling with substantial mental health challenges.

This recommendation must be received by July 1, 2020. Thank you for your time and thoughtfulness! Your recommendation will be given thorough consideration.
